An area agency helping the lives of seniors in nine northern Arkansas Counties is celebrating an anniversary.
Brad Bailey is the Executive Director of the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas, and during a recent interview on KHOZ's "Around the Table" program, he commented on the organization celebrating their 45th Anniversary on July 1. Bailey said they are taking the opportunity to remind residents of their services to help senior residents in the region as well as offering services to veterans and disabled individuals.
Bailey said the agency coordinates many services including Adult Day Centers, Care Coordination, Housing, Resource Directory, and more. He also talked about the many senior centers they help operate including the Boone County Senior Activity and Wellness Center on Rock Springs Road. Bailey talked about the recent fundraiser at the center, the "Kiss the Pig" contest, as well as an upcoming Car Show Fundraiser on July 13.
Besides Boone County, the organization covers Baxter, Benton, Carroll, Madison, Marion, Newton, Searcy, and Washington Counties.
