Adoration Parade Set for 75th Celebration

An annual Christmas Tradition is set to go in Branson for the 75th time.

The Adoration Parade will travel through downtown Branson on Sunday December 3.

Adoration Parade Chairman Charlie Engram, during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, says that the theme has remained constant over the years, "Keeping Christ in Christmas." Engram says the parade allows floats from commercial business but not to advertise their business but to emphasize Christmas.

Engram says applications for floats to be in the parade can be found through the website of the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Website.

The other continuing tradition is the lighting of the Adoration Scene which will take place at 5:30 before the parade steps off. Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin, also part of the Adoration Committee, coordinated volunteers recently to but the Adoration Scene back up and prepare it for this year's lighting. Martin tells the Branson Tri-Lakes News that several volunteer groups around the region helped in the installation of the scene.
