Board gets update on W. 76 Country Blvd improvement project

Branson's Board of Aldermen heard an update on a project; additional details are in the press release below.

BRANSON, Mo – Great River Associates, Inc., the company designing the next phase of the W. 76 Country Blvd improvements, gave a presentation to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen at the December 13 Board of Aldermen Study Session on what segments one and two, which runs from Shepherd of the Hills Expy to the Ferris Wheel could look like.

A representative from Great River Engineering presented some of the concept drawings and inspirations received from a design charrette attended by community members, business owners, and stakeholders.

“I feel very good about this and the direction we are going. This is a major undertaking with many moving parts. I’m very impressed with how much Great River has listened to everyone’s input. This is going to make a big splash and we’ve got to make sure we do it right,” said Branson Mayor Larry Milton.

The Branson Board of Aldermen approved a contract with Great River for the professional design consulting services not to exceed the amount of $2,032,815.00 in July 2022. To see the presentation and some of the conceptual drawings, you can re-watch the December 13, 2022, Study Session at www.BransonMo.Gov/Livestream

This renewed effort to improve the safety and aesthetics of W. 76 Country Blvd is the result of a positive partnership between the 76ECID and the local government at City Hall to continue the W. 76 Country Blvd revitalization project. The city finished segment three of W. 76 Country Blvd in the summer of 2022 with the undergrounding of the overhead power and communication lines.
