Boys & Girls Club receives $40,000 grant

A local Taco Bell franchise supports the after school and summer programs offered by The Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks on Wednesday, June 19, received a grant for $40,000 from the Taco Bell Foundation, who partnered with K-MAC Enterprises, the owners of local Taco Bells, to support career workforce development for youth in Stone and Taney counties.

Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks CEO Stoney Hays and staff were at the Branson BGCO Club to give Taco Bell representatives and press a tour of the building and discussion of the program before the check presentation. The money is earmarked to help support the Career Launch: BGCO’s job-readiness and career preparation program for teens, according to the BGCO website. The program provides fun and interactive activities for youth ages 13-18 to explore a broad range of career areas, match their interests to career clusters and identify the skills and education needed for a spectrum of career paths.
