Branson Police and Fire Updates

Branson's police department and fire department have experienced growth since last year, according to reports delivered during Tuesday night's board of aldermen meeting.

Branson Police Chief Eric Schmitt provided updates during the meeting. A big one is the anticipated new police station; construction will proceed. In addition, the chief discussed last year's trends compared to 2022.

He briefly highlighted dispatch call stats. Another update: the Branson police force will enjoy a newly designed badge. Schmitt also stressed the importance of good police-community relations. Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin provided an update as well.

Fire Station 4 is open as of May of 2024. It's totally staffed. Martin also highlighted training.

Training is always important, and the team is always learning. More was discussed during the presentation and the whole meeting.
