Branson Police Warn of Catalytic Converter Thefts

In a Facebook Post, the Branson Police Department warns of an increase in theft of a particular motor vehicle part.

Catalytic Converters, a device on a vehicle's exhaust system that helps reduce vehicle admissions, are targeted according to the post because the device contains metals that can be removed and sold. Larger vehicles are targeted according to the post because access to the converter is easier and can be quickly removed.

More information including tips on how to prevent and report the thefts can be found on the Branson Police Department Facebook Page.
