Branson Regional Arts Council Now Owns Owen Theater Building, Looks for Big Year

The Branson Regional Arts Council has achieved a major goal by now owning the building they call home.

Executive Director of Arts Council Jim Barber, also host of The Barber Shop on Branson 4 U Dot Com, says during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, that the group moved into the Historic Owen Theater on Commercial Street in 2017 on a Lease Agreement with the goal of eventually buying the building, a goal that the group achieved at the end of 2022.

Barber said as owners of the building, they now will put together a long term plan to make some needed repairs to the building as well expand their community theater and youth arts education programs. 

Barber added the the first presentation of 2023, "Mary Poppins, the Musical" begins this evening and runs on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through February 26.
