Chappel on Victory and Recreational Marijuana

Newly elected Missouri State legislator Darrin Chappel talked Friday about his victory and recreational marijuana.

Chappel spoke on KHOZ's "Around The Table" Friday broadcast about his victory and more. Chappel said the district he represents is largely red, but three seats were lost. Later, Chappel discussed Roy Blunt's departure from office.

He said he thinks "most people thought it was time for the senator to go ahead and resign his career." He said Blunt did "a lot of good things" but also did things other conservatives questioned. Chappel called Blunt's service "a bit of a mixed bag." He also discussed recreational marijuana in Missouri.

Chappel said that he doesn't think Missouri's passing of recreational marijuana is a good action. He indicated that Missouri's bill wasn't unlike Arkansas' bill which was voted down. He said this put "felony consequences into the Constitution." He said this was a bad choice regardless of one's view is on the topic of recreational marijuana.

The full interview with Chappel is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
