Community Services, Inc. provides many services, including mental health, according to Renee Walsh.
Walsh is a therapist; she appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday to discuss the services. She said they work with the juvenile court system and provide mental health services. They also take outside referrals in addition to referrals from the juvenile court.
They also provide anger management and life skills classes. "Our kind of goal is to empower you know, the juveniles to be successful in the community, at home, at school, you know, all around," Walsh said.
The center's main focus is younger people. Walsh said they vary in age from five to 18. The juvenile services are from 10 to 18 while mental health services see people aging from five to 18.
Walsh explained that mental health care is offered for a younger group because "is a different kind of beast" for what they offer. Anyone wanting to contact Community Services, Inc. can call 870-280-3468. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Walsh is available on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
