Death of Woman in Bull Shoals Lake Ruled Accidental

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office have released the cause of death of a woman who was recovered from the Welcome Ridge boat launch on Bull Shoals Lake earlier this month.

According to Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander, the autopsy for 80-year-old Sharon Rose Harris of Rockwall, Tx. determined the cause of death to be an accidental drowning.

Marion County Investigators recovered Harris’ body just off the shoreline on the afternoon of April 11, after area residents reported seeing a body in the water. Investigators learned the woman had been reported missing by a family member to the Rockwall, Tx. Police Department on April 10. Harris’ body was positively identified by a family member on April 12.
