Derges Resigns House Set After Fraud Conviction

The final step has been taking for Tricia Derges in her time in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Derges officially resigned her seat on Friday as the Representative of the 140th District which includes central and eastern Christian Counties. The Republican from Nixa was elected in 2020 and would have completed her term in office at the end of the year.

Derges was charged last year with several counts of fraud related to her practice and the medical clinics she operated in Branson, Ozark, and Springfield. Her trial ended last week with her being found guilty on all counts. Derges is currently awaiting sentencing which could lead to a maximum of 20 years in prison without parole.
