While Drought Levels persists in the Lakes Region, the level of dryness remains low.
The latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor indicates that a Moderate Drought Level exist in northern and central Stone County and all of Barry County while most of Taney County including the Branson area and most of northern Arkansas including the Harrison area are Abnormally Dry. Extreme eastern Taney County and all of Ozark County in Missouri plus parts of Marion County in Arkansas are not currently showing any signs of drought.
While the long-range forecast is calling for dryer than normal conditions, several rounds of rain are expected in the Lakes Region through Monday.
