Some recaps from tonight's Elections around the Lakes Region.

Branson Alderman Races
Marshall Howden won the Board of Aldermen Ward one seat previously occupied by Bill Skains; Skains had 145 votes while Howden won 234 votes. Charles Rodriguez took the win for the Ward two seat; Rodriguez took 202 votes, and Jeff Seay had 200 votes. Ralph LeBlanc took victory for the Ward three seat with 298 votes; Jamie Whiteis ended the race for the seat with 88 votes.
Ozark County use tax result: The proposition on the ballot was defeated 640 to 372.
Other highlights:
Branson School Board
A challenger and incumbent each won a seat on the Board as Carolyn Boss and current School Board President Roger Frieze won the two available seats with vote totals of 927 and 879. Current incumbent Peter Marcellus and challenger Mike Porter finished third and fourth.
Forsyth Alderman Races
The two challengers in those races win tonight as in Ward 1, Missi Hesketh defeated Larry Moehl and in Ward 2, Dustin Krob defeated Cheryl Altis.
Reeds Spring Mayoral Race
Incumbent Steve Rogers was defeated by challenger Robert Scott Chamberlin 129-94.
Ballot Issues
Stone County Voters overwhelmingly passed Prop P, the Law Enforcement Sales Tax 3,359 to 1,020 while the Crane and Reeds Spring, and Spokane School Districts passed Levy Issues. Also, the City of Galena passed a Transportation Tax while Coney Island, Hurley, and Reeds Spring each passed a Use Tax on Internet Sales. A Transportation issue for the Village of Taneyville failed.
