Following Friday’s deadly storm activity in Little Rock and Wynne, a local organization is lending its support to the communities affected.
The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas delivered seven pallets of bottled water to Little Rock, and eight additional pallets are being delivered Saturday to the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro in support of the victims in Wynne.
Food Bank of North Central Arkansas Chief Executive Officer Jeff Quick tells KTLO that one of the jobs they have is to support the sister food banks in the state to make sure they have the food, water and other resources they need.
The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas is accepting donations to assist in disaster relief, but Quick says area residents need to be mindful of what is gathered and sent to the areas in need.
More information including a link to donate can be found on the KTLO Website.
