Harrison Chamber Selects New Leader

The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce has selected a new leader.

According to a release from the Chamber, Jeff Nielsen will assume the role of President and CEO on Monday. Nielsen comes to the position after many years in Houston, Texas but is familiar with the region as his wife Lisa (Woodworth) Nielsen is a Boone County resident and a 1985 graduate of Harrison High School. The Nielsen's moved to Harrison earlier this year with Jeff having worked for Boone County Judge Robert Hathaway on Special Projects. 

Nielsen was born in Houston and during his time there, has worked as Chief of Staff for two different Houston City Council members and also worked in the construction industry, serving as a leader in two different organization representing construction interests. 

Part of Nielson's statement posted in the release: "I am truly honored to have been selected to serve as your new President/CEO of the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce. The position represents a wonderful opportunity to serve my wife's hometown, the business community, and residents of Harrison and Boone County."

Chamber of Commerce Board Chair Jason Patience says, "We are thrilled to welcome Jeff Nielsen as the new President and CEO of the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce. Jeff's extensive experience in executive leadership roles, and his dedication of community involvement, uniquely position him to drive our mission of progress and development forward. His vision and commitment to fostering economic growth and collaboration will be invaluable as we navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead."

Nielsen takes over from Mike Nabors, who served as interim President since Wilson Marseilles stepped down during the summer.
