Harrison is ready for the eclipse on April 8.
Matt Bell, Explore Harrison's executive director, appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Monday talk about the upcoming eclipse. With eclipse viewing events all over the place, Harrison residents can expect to have viewing opportunities too.
Bell explained that Harrison is in the path of totality. The North Arkansas College South Campus will have 100% coverage spanning more than 30 seconds. He added that the NWA district fair grounds will experience 100% for around 20 second.
He explained that the further southeast one goes the more they will experience total coverage. Russellville is estimated to have four minutes of complete darkness.
Bell said people are coming into Harrison from around the nation to enjoy the eclipse. He said the eclipse begins at approxamently 12:34 p.m. Totality will occur at approxamently 1:53 p.m. More was discussed on the broadcast.
