The 35th Annual Honor America Celebration is Saturday.

The annual celebration on the College of the Ozarks Campus will take place on the same traditional weekend but on a different day. For the first time, Honor America will be on the Saturday prior to the Fourth of July. The college's Valorie Coleman, during an appearance on Legends 106.3, says she feels is a better fit for those at the school who put on the show as well as for those attending to move the event from Sunday to Saturday.

It kicks off at 6 p.m. when the several vendors will open up serving food and other treats while Children’s Activities will also get underway. The College will display a Missouri Army National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter in the children’s area. Live music will also take place between 6:00 and 8:30.

The patriotic program will start around 8:45 p.m. with The Hard Work U. Concert Band performing prior to and during the fireworks display.

A special “Countdown to Honor America” program will air from 4:00 to 6:00 Saturday afternoon 981 Branson 4 U, Legends 1063. MY 100.1, and New Country 1029. An updated interview about Honor America from Friday's "Upside" program can be seen on "The Upside" Facebook Page.
