Lakes Area School Districts Rate High After School Bus Inspections

The Missouri State Highway Patrol releases the results of their annual inspection of school busses throughout the state.

According to the release from the patrol, a total of 262 Missouri school districts earned the Patrol’s Total Fleet Excellence award for 2024. 10 of those districts are in the region with an additional four districts scoring 90% or better. 

The patrol inspected a total of 11,360 school buses in school districts throughout the state. 

Buses found to have defects are required to be repaired within 10 days while buses placed out-of-service require correction and reinspection before being returned to service according to the report.

Below are the numbers for all School Districts in Stone and Taney Counties plus selected districts in nearby areas:
