"Little Shop of Horrors" is coming to the Lyric Theater starting Sept. 27.
The show will run until Oct. 6. The show only plays on the weekends. Tickets are available online and at the box office. Cast members Amy Sorenson and Kinder Hinrichs appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to promote the show.
Hinrichs wanted to do the show in part because of its roots back to his childhood. He described it as a "dream production." He plays Seymour. Sorenson plays Audrey; she drives from Branson for the theater.
Sorenson said the show is a longtime favorite of hers. She highlighted the fun nature of the songs. The two leading performers are part of a small cast.
Hinrichs said the show has a cast of eight people. That means some members are playing more than one role. Hinrichs highlighted a benefit of the small cast.
The benefit: everyone has time to shine. Hinrichs provided a synopsis.
Seymour works at a floral shop. He finds a bizarre plant that makes things interesting in his life. The plant, however, is bloodthirsty.
