Missouri Highway Patrol Works Crashes Killing One, Seriously Injuring Another

The Missouri State Highway Patrol works a pair of crashes this weekend in the Lakes Region.

A man from Mexico loses his life in a motorcycle crash in eastern Taney County Sunday.

According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:00 pm on Highway 125 south of Protem when 62-year-old Steven Scott failed to negotiate a curve losing control of his motorcycle as it ran off the highway and hit a tree. Scott was pronounced dead at the scene by Taney County Coroner Tony Mullen.

This is the 62nd Fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2024. 

Meanwhile, a Hollister man is in serious condition at Cox Medical Center in Branson after falling off a tractor near his residence. 
According to the release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Arnold Road when the tractor driven by 70-year-old Donald Wonder hit a rock and ejected Wonder from the tractor.

The accident occurred around 2:15 Sunday afternoon.
