Ozark County Community Contracts with Sheriff's Office for Law Enforcement

A rural community will be getting enhanced help in law enforcement.

The Ozark County Village of Theodosia has entered into an agreement with the County's Sheriff's Office for Law Enforcement Services. 

According to information posted by KTLO, the contract will see the sheriff officers provide law enforcement of all state and municipal statutes as well as the ordinances of the village. The sheriff's office will maintain maintain records of specific arrests an activities in Theodosia.

The report goes on to say that attorney Colin Young who will serve as the Prosecuting Attorney for the village. 

The contract, similar to one the county has had for several years with the city of Gainesville, will initially be one year in length.
