Ozark County Man Arrested for Drugs After Traffic Stop

An Ozark County man is facing felony charges of drug possession after a county deputy made a traffic stop that led to the discovery of drugs.

According to information from the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office posted by KTLO, the incident happened in July with 45-year-old Jared Johnston had to have his vehicle towed after the traffic stop due to lack of insurance. The deputy offered to give him a ride when Johnston claimed he had a legal amount of marijuana in the vehicle. When Johnston went to retrieve it, the officer discovered he had one pound of marijuana, multiple baggies of methamphetamine, a scale, a broken glass pipe and a cell phone.

Johnston is facing felony charges of trafficking drugs and unlawful possessing of drug paraphernalia with intent to use. He is free on bond.
