Ozark Police Department Awarded

Innovation Award Announced

The Missouri Municipal League awards the Ozark Police Department an Innovation Award for their Hero in Training Program.  Twice each year, the department hosts an outreach and safety training program for youngsters 6 – 11 years old.  They learn bicycle safety while getting a chance to interact with officers.  Corporal Truman Isbell said through the program, officers try to reach out to the community and the and the kids so they can see the police as real people.  The Ozark Police Department will accept the award in St. Louis on September 28.  You can see the complete story from our media partners at Ozarks First at this link.
