Person Injured in Roller Coaster Accident in Branson (Update 8:20 am)

Information given to Ozarks First indicates that a 12-year-old boy is in a Springfield hospital after being seriously injured at the Branson Mountain Coaster on West 76 Country Boulevard Sunday evening, according to the Branson Police Department.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene around 7:30 to discover a person trapped under a coaster. Crews were on the scene for over an hour and a half rescuing the person and transporting the patient via Life Line to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of serious injuries.

An accident on a roller coaster in Branson has sent one person to the hospital Sunday evening.

Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin tells Ozarks First that the accident, at the Branson Coaster located on 76 Country Blvd., sent one person to the hospital. Social media posts indicate that a person was airlifted from that location for treatment of their injuries.

Chief Martin tells Ozarks First that the accident is under investigation.
