According to the latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, the only areas that are Abnormally Dry are all of Barry County and northwest parts of Stone County in Missouri as well as a small northwestern section of Carroll County in Arkansas.

Winter begins on Saturday with the weekend dry, but more rain is in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday in the region. After a cold day today, temperatures will moderate through the weekend into Christmas week.
