Reduction of Drought Levels Continues

A recent steady pattern of wet weather continues to have a positive impact on water levels in the region.

The latest map posted Thursday by the U.S. Drought Monitor shows that no part of the Lakes Region is at a Severe Drought level. Most areas west of Bull Shoals Lake which includes both the Branson and Harrison areas are at a Moderate Drought Level while areas around and east of Bull Shoals are just Abnormally Dry or no drought level at all.

The National Weather Service says the recent round of showers has continued the trend of drought reduction in the region.
