Second Phase of Highway 76/High Road Bridge Project Begins Next Week

Part of the Ozark Mountain High Road will be closed after the first of the year for the second phase of a bridge rehabilitation project.

According to the release from the Missouri Department of Transportation, Highway 76 westbound from the Highway 248 interchange to Highway 376 will be closed for work on bridge over the MNA Railroad beginning next Monday January 6 and remain closed into March.

This is the second part of this project which saw the eastbound bridge closed from August into early December for rehabilitation work on the bridge. 

MODOT says in the release that a signed detour using Highways 65 and 265 will be put in place during the closure. 

Eastbound 76 between 376 and 65 will remain open. 

The project is being done by Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. of Columbia with a total projected cost of $850,000.
