A recap of some of the key races for Tuesday's Election in Stone and Taney Counties:
Branson School Board
Challenger Dustin Price edges out incumbent Angie Smith by 11 votes for one of the three sports on the board. The other two incumbents, Sonja Myer and Lane McConnell won another term on the board.
Bradleyville School Board
The three winners in that race are Duffy Mooney, Boyd Combs, and James McGinnis.
Forsyth Mayor
Missi Hesketh will be the next Mayor in Forsyth replacing Kelly Daugherty who did not seek another term and left the position earlier this year due to health reasons. Andy Brown did certify as a write-in candidate. According to the totals from the Taney County Clerk's Office, Hesketh received 172 votes while the Write-In Spot received 84, though it is not known if all of those votes were casts for Brown. County Clerk Stephanie Spencer tells the Branson Tri-Lakes News that it will be Friday before write-in names will be released with their totals. This will also impact several races in Merriam Woods where not candidates appeared on the ballot but several write-in votes were cast.
Other Taney County Races
Melissa Siffler beat out Shane Coker and William Smith for the open spot on the Central Taney County Fire Board while Wesley Robertson and Dan Luttrell won two of the three spots on the Taneyville Board of Trustees. An un-named write-in candidate finished in the top three but it has not been released yet if that was for one person and they were certified. The third highest total of a name on the ballot went to Sharmin Palmere.

Stone County School Board Races
The winners in Blue Eye are Tyler Miller, Ryan Butler, and Jesse Parton while the winners in Crane are John Brosseau, Brandon Cavener, and Richard Hayes. In Hurley, the top three vote getters are Ryan Conrad, LaDona Wilson, and Katrina Flood.
Community Races
Three aldermen and one trustee race were contested. in Branson West, Tony Martinez won an unexpired term in Ward 1 while in Crane, Houston Steele was the Ward 2 race while in Galena, the Alderman At-Large seats were won by Clarie Beyer and Amanda Parton. In Blue Eye, the Village Trustee top two winners are Melissa Box, Jerry Evans. The third seat came down to one vote with Melody Gibson edging out Amanda Mills.
Southern Stone County Fire District
Jerry Hageman and Daryl Johnson won the open seats.
According to the County Clerk's Offices, 8.89% of voters went to the polls in Taney County while 11.1%% of the voters cast a ballot in Stone County.
