A line of strong to severe thunderstorms rolled through the Lakes Region late Friday night causing power outages.
Entergy reported several outages which knocked out power to much of downtown Harrison including Ozarks Dynacom Stations KHBZ and KHOZ which were off the air late last night into the early morning hours. Entergy is still reporting scattered outages in northern Arkansas with more outages in other areas of Arkansas where the storms moved through.
Carroll Electric Cooperative still reports over 3000 people without power, mostly in Benton County though over 150 outages are in areas that include Barry, Boone, Carroll, Madison, and Stone Counties.
Neither Liberty or White River Valley are reporting outages in the Lakes Region this morning.
Damage reports submitted to the National Weather Service for the region include:
-Campers overturned in Carroll County near the Beaver Lake Dam.
-Several reports of trees down in Barry County including one on a home near Shell Knob.
-Two inch tree limbs also reported to be down in Taney County north of Forsyth.
A break in the rain for most areas today with hot conditions. Parts of the Lakes Region including Barry, Carroll, and Madison Counties are once again under Heat Advisories with Heat Index Readings possible up to 110. The rest of the Lakes Region including the Branson and Harrison areas could see Heat Index readings around 100.
Another front comes through on Sunday with another chance of rain and will set the stage for cooler temperatures beginning Monday.
