Two Charged in Barry County Murder

Two people are facing charges in a case of an abandoned body in a burnt vehicle.

According to a release from Barry County Sheriff Danny Boyd, 34-year-old Brandy Coburn of Verona, and 46-year-old Jimmy Taylor of Exeter are accused of killing 55-year-old Lance McCullough of Aurora on March 11. 

According to the statement released by Sheriff Boyd, and incident occurred at a residence on Highway WW in Verona where the two suspects are accused of shooting McCullough, then putting his body in the trunk of a car and transported him to a farm road where the vehicle was set on fire. 

The duo are facing charges of 1st Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Abandonment of a Corpse. Coburn and Taylor are being held in the Barry County Jail without bond.
