Two More Suspects Arrested in KC Chiefs Super Bowl Parade Shooting

Two more suspects have been charged in the shooting that followed the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade and rally last week.

Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced Tuesday that Dominic M. Miller, of Kansas City, and Lyndell Mays, of Raytown have both been charged with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Charging documents say Miller and Mays attended the parade and rally last week armed with firearms.

Mays allegedly got into an argument with someone else after the rally. The argument escalated quickly, Peters Baker said, and Mays allegedly pulled out a handgun. Almost immediately, prosecutors say others, including Miller, pulled out guns and started shooting.

One person died and over 20 others were injured. Earlier this week, the Missouri House passed a resolution outlawing celebratory gunfire however debate over other potential gun laws was very intense and continues in the legislator.
