Two Traffic Crashes Thursday Night on Highway 65

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is kept busy Thursday night working a pair of traffic crashes on a stretch of Highway 65 north of Branson.

According to the online report, an SUV traveling northbound on 65 hit the back of a camper trailer around 10:25. The man driving the trailer, 65-year-old Nicolas Poole of New York state, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle, a female from Branson, was not injured in the crash.

Meanwhile, a woman from Galena escapes with only minor injuries after her vehicle, stopped in traffic for the earlier crash, gets hit from behind by another about 15 minutes later. Kesha Phillips was taken to Cox Medical Center Branson for treatment of her injuries while the driver of the other vehicle, a 17-year-old male from Buffalo, was not injured.
