Winter Storm Warning for Northern Arkansas, WW Advisory for Southern Missouri

Portions of the Lakes Region could see some significant snowfall today.

Portions of Northern Arkansas could see a potential of up to 10 inches of snow in the higher elevations which has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Winter Storm Warning for the northern tier of continues including Boone, Carroll, Madison, Marion, Newton, and Searcy for today.

The Southern Missouri portion of the Lakes Region including Barry, Ozark, Stone, and Taney Counties is under a Winter Weather Advisory for today with most of the snow amounts forecast being in the two to three inch range with some higher amounts possible in the western part of the Lakes Region including Barry County.

While most roads in the immediate Branson area are still clear, some roads already have some partial snow cover and people traveling today should be alert for changing conditions.

Most of the snow will end tonight with temperatures warming up into the 40's on Sunday.
