A woman from Gainesville is now facing a murder charge in the death of her boyfriend.
KTLO reports the charge against 49-year-old Shannon Lori Collins stems from an incident last week in which she and her boyfriend, 55-year-old Mark Ault, were arguing. As Collins was leaving in Ault’s vehicle, Ault was holding onto the vehicle when she accelerated then slammed on the brakes quickly forcing him off of the vehicle causing head trauma which he later died from.
Collins is now facing three felony charges, murder in the second degree, tampering with a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in a death.
Collins is being held without bond in the Ozark County Jail.
