WRVEC Close to Restoring Power from Friday Storms

The storms that blew through the Ozarks Friday night caused major problems for an area power provider.

White River Valley Electric Cooperative reported on their Facebook Page that over 8,000 Customers in their five county region had their power knocked out with many lines and poles down due to the 60 MPH Wind Gusts that blew through the area.

Company Officials reported that crews were out overnight and a good part of the day on Saturday but as of mid-Sunday afternoon, around 50 customers were still waiting to get power restored, mostly in Ozark County with a few also in Douglas and Taney Counties.
