Higher Seeds advance once again in the Forsyth and Blue Eye Tournaments Tuesday
Forsyth Tournament
The Branson Pirates opened up defense of the Forsyth Tournament Title, starting that run for a second year in a row with a win over Spokane. The veteran Pirate team forced numerous turnovers from the younger Owl team, including keeping them scoreless in the third quarter on their way to a 68-27 win. In the other game, Carl Junction ran past the Forsyth JV Team to set-up a semi-final match between the Pirates and the Bulldogs Friday. The two teams will also meet later in the year as members of the new Ozark Mountain Conference.
Blue Eye Tournament
Higher seeds advance at Blue Eye as well, with Sparta pulling away from Forsyth in the second half for a 57-35 win while the host Lady Bulldogs get a similar margin over Reeds Spring 57-33. The semi-finals on Thursday will feature Berryville against Sparta and Blue Eye taking on Marionville. Reeds Spring will play Green Forest with Forsyth taking on Spokane in consolation games.
Other games
The Harrison Lady Goblins drop a close game on the road at Greenbrier, losing 36-31. The Lady Goblins are now 3-3 for the season.
