The Branson Lady Pirates opened the 2024-25 season in the Battle at the Boarder Tournament, holding off a rally to claim their opening game.
The Lady Pirates took advantage of the Smithville Lady Warrior turnovers to build a 14 point lead, only to see the visitors come roaring back, cutting the lead to two before the Lady Pirates made enough free throws to win 40-36. Angel Craigg led the Lady Pirates with 21 points.
Due to changes in the schedule, Branson will not play today in the tournament but will play again on Saturday against Waynesville.
