The Lady Cat and the Bobcat Cross Country teams traveled to Oklahoma City to compete in the Sooner Athletic Conference meet, after having two weekends off.

The Lady Cats posted a strong showing, finishing third out of the nine competing teams with a total time of 2:04:24 in the 6k race, a distance longer than the Lady Cats have ran in a meet all year. Rebecca Loya, Keena Goze, and Trinity Sadosky led the Lady Cats, finishing in 8th, 9th, and 10th, respectively, within about one second of each other (24:17.5, 24:17.7, 24:18.6). Emillie Zylstra followed with a time of 25:41.7, and Sarah Alferink finished in 25:49.4. Tia Bethards finished in 26:47.1. Gracie Gatton and Gracie Vestal posted respective times of 26:58.5 and 27:21.9. Aryssa Speights finished with a time of 27:45.5.
The Bobcats finished with a total time of 2:20:05, placing 5th out of 11 competing teams. Tanner Bailey led the pack, finishing in 7th place with a season-best time of 25:15.8. Jack Lawson also ran a season-best, posting a time of 27:30.6. Drew Rose finished in 28:48.7. Eric Burns (season-best) and Alex Frizzell finished in 29:09.3 and 29:21.3, respectively. Caleb Fewin finished in 29:41.9. Brady Rose and Cooper Miller followed with respective times of 32:21.2 and 32:57.0.
On the Lady Cats’ side, Rebecca Loya, Keena Goze, and Trinity Sadosky received All-Conference honors. On the Bobcats’ side, Tanner Bailey received All-Conference honors. The teams will travel to Winona Lake, Indiana to compete in the NCCAA National Championship on November 15. Rebecca Loya and Tanner Bailey both qualified for the NAIA National Championship Meet, which will take place on November 22 in Columbia, Missouri.
