Holiday Basketball Tournament Recap, MOARK Friday Schedule

Results from the Thursday Holiday Basketball Tournaments and today's MOARK Schedule.

Lendel Thomas Classic
It was a good day for the area teams as all came out as victors including the three MOARK Schools. The Branson Lady Pirates opened the classic with a 54-45 win over Highland while the host teams swept to close out the day with the Harrison Lady Goblins dispatching Greenland 68-42 while the Goblins rolled by Salem 71-33. One more game covered on MOARK Sports had Carthage rallying to defeat Earle 66-46. 

The other area teams also did well with the Valley Springs Boys knocking off Mena 68-48 with both Bergman teams also victorious, the Girls over Mena 80--21 and the Boys 67-58 over Sheridan. 

Action resumes with consolation games at 11:00 am. Semi-finals will feature Bergman Girls against Earle at 4:30, Bergman Boys against Carthage at 5:50, Harrison-Branson Girls matching up at 7:10 with Harrison and the Valley Springs Boys wrapping up the action at 8:30. The last two semi-finals can be heard on the Harrison Channel online at MOARK Sport and also on 94.9 KHOZ. 

Blue and Gold
Branson grabbed an opening round win at the tournament in Springfield, knocking off Mount Vernon 71-45 to set-up a rematch with Ozark in the quarterfinals tonight at 9:30 at Great Southern Bank Area. The two teams met last week with Ozark getting a four point win. The two teams also met in the B & G quarterfinals last year with Branson getting the win.

Also in the B & G, Greenwood rallied from an early deficit to knock off Reeds Spring 75-50. The Wolves will play Miller in a consolation game this morning at 11:00 am. Both games can be heard on their respective channels online at MOARK Sports.

Walnut Grove Tournament
The lost Lady Tigers knocked off Blue Eye in semi-final round action 53-21. The Lady Bulldogs will play for third place in the tournament on Saturday. 

Forsyth at Bad Boys Mowers Tournament
Both the Varsity and JV Panthers took losses in the first day of the tournament, the Varsity losing to Marion 63-47 while the JV dropped a 66-31 decision to Thayer.
