Allen Brown Dedrick Jr., Age 72, of Branson, Missouri
Allen Brown Dedrick Jr., Age 72, of Branson, Missouri, passed away October 19, 2022, at home with family nearby. He entered this life February 12, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Allen Sr. and Irene (Papst) Dedrick. Preceding him in death are his parents and a granddaughter, Jazzae Hayes. He was joined in marriage to Patricia on December 7, 1996.
Earning his way up to Battalion Chief, Al was on the Overland Park Fire Department for thirty years. He was a man of the outdoors and an avid sportsman: hunting, fishing, golfing, anything in nature. Al was a kind and gentle soul with a great sense of humor. He adored his grandchildren, often taking them to eat and then shopping. Al was very fond of his dog, Carson. His legacy is going to be remembered and his shoes hard to fill. Fond memories will be treasured for years to come.
Al is survived by his wife of 26 years, Patricia Dedrick; two sons: Greg Dedrick of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ronald Harmon of Lewisville, Texas; two daughters: Leanne Harmon of Coppell, Texas, and Wendy (Greg) Marietta of Little Elm, Texas; numerous grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a sister, Kay Kuntz of Overland Park, Kansas.
A memorial will be held in the clubhouse of Pointe Royale Golf Village in Branson, Missouri on November 19, 2022, at 2pm.
