Angelina Louise Gioia, age 89, of Branson, Missouri.
Angelina Louise Gioia, age 89, of Branson, Missouri, passed away November 23, 2021. She entered this life July 13, 1932, in Rochester, New York, the daughter of Jiulio and Vittoria (Cosmai) Tortorta.
Having a passion for what she believed, Angelina was a woman of great faith and an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. She exuded joy and was most happy in a crowd of people, especially her family. With a true servant's heart, Angelina loved others and especially recognized the delight of being in the presence of children. She also directed her energies to care for and serve others, work at cleaning, and get away on excursions to the casino. Her abiding faith and love will be missed.
Angelina is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Gioia; two sisters: Victoria Dialla and Lulu Amico; and two brothers: Jim and George Tortorta.
She is survived by two sons: Joseph Gioia of Missouri and Stephen Gioia of Montana; four daughters: Georgia (Robin) Schledorn of California: Charlene (Ron) Lingle of Florida: Karen Swarms of Missouri: and Victoria Giese of Missouri; eleven grandchildren: Jodi, Sheri, Keith, Michael, Michelle, Chevvon, Courtney, Justine, Alexis, Chayna, and Kami; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson, Missouri, at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Boulder City Cemetery in Boulder, Nevada, with her husband.
