Barbara Ann Ray, age 76, of Butterfield, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at her home.
She was born September 20, 1948 in Mexico, Missouri the daughter of Leland and Martha (Spurling) Crews. On August 1, 1970 in Mexico, Missouri she was united in marriage to Charlie A. Ray, who preceded her in death on June 4, 2003. Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Surviving are one son, Tommy Ray and his wife Monique of Washburn, Missouri; two daughters, Martha Stanley and her husband Chris of Kirbyville, Missouri and Sarah Ray of Lincoln, Arkansas; two brothers, Ed Crews and his wife Estlle of Sidney British Columbia, Canada and Fred Crews and his wife Jeanie of Mexico, Missouri; four grandchildren, Daniel, Jasmine, Cali and Vinnie and one great grandchild, Jade.
Barbara grew up and attended school in Mexico, Missouri graduating from Mexico High School in 1966. She moved to Butterfield in 1972 coming from Mexico, Missouri. Barbara was employed by Ellis, Cupps and Cole for 22 years as a legal secretary. She and Charlie were co-owners and operators of George Ray & Sons Feed Store in Cassville, she was a member of the Women’s Democrat Club and First Butterfield Women’s Auxiliary. Barbara enjoyed serving her church, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Butterfield Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 7, 2024 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Mike Renfrow will conduct the services. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until service time Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
