Bobbie Lester Dalton

Bobbie Lester Dalton...

Bobbie Lester Dalton was born March 1, 1943, at Taneyville, Missouri to Stark and Emily (Grady) Dalton. He entered into rest on March 16, 2025, at Bradleyville, Missouri at the age or 82 years, surrounded by his family.

He received his education at Taneyville and Bradleyville Schools. Bobbie was a lifelong resident of Taney County.  He married his sweetheart, Margaret M. Maggard on July 31, 1964, at Forsyth, Missouri. They were blessed with two children.  Bobbie and Margaret had celebrated sixty years together last July.

He was a long-haul trucker who had seen most of the lower forty-eight states. Bobbie was always interested in seeing new places and having new experiences. When he was home, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He did quite a bit of both when he was younger. Bobbie liked having his family together so that the young ones down to the great grandchildren would hear the family tales and stories. Laughter was a great habit to pass on. Bobbie had all kinds of stories from fishing, hunting, family, trucking, farming and everyday life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Martha Holt and three brothers Joe, Chester and Eudell.

Bobbie is survived by his loving wife Margaret; their two children, Robert Dalton (Annette) and Donna Horner all of Bradleyville; two brothers Dallard Dalton (Ann) of Chadwick, Ernie Dalton (Donna) of Sparta; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025, starting at 12:30 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at the Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, 16560 US Hwy 160, Forsyth. Pastor Randy Dalton and Pastor Rob Dalton will officiate. Burial will follow at the Patterson Cemetery, Bradleyville, Mo.
