Carol Sullivan, 91 of Branson, Missouri.
Cherished mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Carol Sullivan passed away in Branson, Missouri at Cox Medical Center on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the age of 91.
Carol Ann Sullivan was born on December 25, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up on the southside of Chicago and after high school went to work with the telephone company in Illinois. Carol married the love of her life, Bill Sullivan on October 13, 1951. Carol became a stay-at-home mom caring for her family while supporting Bill as they traveled to several duty stations across the United States with his service in the Navy including Chicago, Virginia Beach, Albany and later Arlington with the civil service. They continued their enjoyment of living different places during their retirement and called New Orleans, Pensacola, Arizona and Forsyth home throughout that time.
Carol will be remembered for the great care and love she had for her family. She was an amazing mom and a tremendous crafter and cook. She enjoyed knitting, painting ceramics and her gift for sewing was remarkable and treasured. She sewed her children’s clothes and prom dresses, made curtains and bedspreads along with doing her own upholstery.
Carol will be deeply missed by her children, Kathleen Andera (Jon) of Las Vegas, NV, Kim Sullivan-Beier (John) of Jersey City, NJ and Patrick Sullivan (Marlena Driscoll) of Ozark, MO; her sister, Pat Strom of Forsyth; grandchildren, Christopher Knight (Jen), Corey Sullivan (Beth), Stephen Sullivan (Shanna) and Kallen Beier (Greg Lewis); and four great-grandchildren, Finley, Natalie, Blake and Caden Sullivan as well as friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Lillian Keating; her husband, Bill Sullivan; and sisters, Marcella Dub, LaVerne Clark, and Nancy Chinell.
Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory. Carol will be laid to rest with her husband Bill in Arlington National Cemetery.
