David “DJ” Earl Haack, age 77, of Branson, Missouri
David “DJ” Earl Haack, age 77, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on October 9, 2023. He entered this life on December 27, 1945, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Earl and Lillian (Horn) Haack. DJ was preceded in death by his parents. He was joined in marriage on September 4, 1965, to Patsy J. Goble.
Serving for our grateful nation, DJ was in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. In the 1970s, David was the lead guitar player for Patti and The Nite-Lites in Camanche, Iowa. He was employed by Mickey Gilley for more than thirty years and appreciated racing, Corvettes, and feeding stray cats around the Branson area. DJ enjoyed Christmas and would randomly pick families to help during the holiday season. He loved making people smile, no one was a stranger to him.
DJ is survived by his ex-wife, Patsy Haack; four children: Paula Sutterfield, William Haack, Dawn Haack, and Angie Haack; eleven grandchildren: Tara Qualls, Tyler Barringer, Salvador Bautista III, Todd Barringer, Martin Bautista, Bobby Allen Jr., Anthony Bautista, Kenny Haack, Johnny Haack, Alyssa Haack, and Gennalyn Haack; six great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Makenzie, Alyssa, Jayce, Rome, and Rex; and two sisters: Beverly Haack and Joyce Cavaugh.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday October 24, 2023, at the Mickey Gilley Theater, 3455 W. 76 Country Blvd., Branson, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for cat food donations to carry on DJ’s tradition. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
