David Glen Richmond...

David Glen Richmond was born on March 3, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas.  He graduated from Wichita South High School in 1974 and went to work for Kanox Inc. as a salesman. When Airgas acquired Kanox, David moved with the company to work in Springfield, MO until he retired.

David will be remembered as a huge sports enthusiast and longtime fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.  He also had a great affinity for astronomy. He enjoyed studying and was extremely knowledgeable concerning stars, planets and space. He was also known to travel to catch a meteor shower or watch an eclipse.

David entered into rest at his home in Reeds Spring, MO on October 25, 2024 at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen & Janice Richmond.

He will be deeply missed by his friends and family including his sisters, Paula Kirk and Mary Lou Richmond Norton & her husband Bob all of Wichita; his brother, Michael Richmond of Wichita; nieces and nephew, Shawna Kirk of Nashville, TN, Kacey Quick of Austin, TX, Amy Steiner of Wichita, Carly Oberg of Wichita and Logan Richmond of Wichita;  many great-nieces and nephews and his girlfriend, Donna Brenner of Hutchinson, KS.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Old Chicago, 7626 E. Kellogg Dr., Wichita, KS 67207 and friends and family are invited to wear KC Chiefs gear in his honor.

A memorial fund has been established with the NBC World Series in Wichita which was one of David’s most beloved events each year. Donations can be mailed to the NBC Baseball Foundation, 300 N. Mead, Suite 109, Wichita, KS 67202 or on-line donations may be made at the National Baseball Congress website, nbcbaseball.com.

Local arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
