Denise Renee Hunter, age 70, of Blue Eye, Missouri.

Denise Renee Hunter, age 70, of Blue Eye, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 6, 2025. She was born on December 22, 1954, in Riceville, Iowa to Robert and Dolores (Tollefsrud) Armstrong. Denise married David Cleveland Hunter on December 29, 1972, who preceded her in death on December 31, 1988.

Denise retired from HTAEW as an internet advertising processor. She enjoyed roller skating, listening to music, playing guitar, dancing, and was a fun-loving spirit who everyone loved to be around. One of Denise’s favorite pastimes was playing scratcher tickets which she won many times.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Pat Armstrong; brother, Kevin Armstrong; brother-in-law, Gary Kilkenny; brother-in-law, Charlie Sams; niece, Abby Armstrong; and great-niece, Camber Piper.

Denise is survived by two sons: Jason David (Misty) Hunter of Gravois Mills, Missouri, and Jeffrey Floyd (Tasha) Hunter of Kirbyville, Missouri; and one daughter, Angela (Angie) Arlene Hunter of Blue Eye, Missouri. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Mia Hunter, Owen Hunter, Stormy (Logan) Helms, Skylea Hunter, Brianna (Bri) Wallace, and Aiden Wallace; two great-grandchildren: Willow Renee Helms and Rowan Hunter Helms; sister, Penny Armstrong of Blue Eye, Missouri; sister, Sheila (Pete) Chinn of Hollister, Missouri; sister, Sherri Sams of West Plains, Missouri; sister, Kathy (Bill) Fischer of Ridgedale, Missouri; brother, Keith Armstrong of West Plains, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A celebration of life will be held at the Oakmont Community Center in Ridgedale, Missouri, on Sunday January 26, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and a private graveside service at Howell Memorial Cemetery in Pomona, Missouri at a later date.
