Denny Ray Wolf

Denny Ray Wolf, age 76 of Jenkins, Missouri.

Denny Ray Wolf, age 76 of Jenkins, Missouri went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 27th, at his home.

He was born October 1st, 1945, in Jenkins, Missouri, son of Rue and Erma (Edgmond) Wolf. On August 20th, 1964 he was united in marriage to Linda (Bowling) Wolf, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Denny Ray Wolf II and his wife Missy of Jenkins, one grandson, Connor Wolf of Jenkins, one granddaughter Kiley Stringer and her husband Colten of Cassville, and one great-granddaughter, Adley Stringer. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Olieva Thompson, and several nieces and nephews. Additionally, he is survived by many members of the Bowling Family, who he was very close to.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother Aubrey Wolf Sr., and one sister Shirley Parton.

Denny attended school at Jenkins through the 8th grade and worked as a logger and then in construction work. But he is perhaps best known for his craft of basket-making. Many hours were spent in the “basket house” with his wife, son, and mom, and occasionally a grandchild or two, making baskets for a living for 28 years. His greatest joys in life included hunting, fishing, camping, spoiling his grandchildren, playing the guitar, and writing and recording songs about our Creator. Most mornings you could find him sitting on the porch swing with a cup of coffee and his guitar. The most important things in life to him were his relationship with God, his family, and his many dear friends. His memory will live every day in the hearts and minds of those he leaves behind until we see him again in Heaven. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice Compassus for their wonderful care in our time of need.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 29th from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville and the funeral service will be held at Fohn Funeral Home on Friday, September 30th at 2:00 P.M., with graveside services to follow at Clio Cemetery. Brother John Carr and Bill Kirby will be officiating.

Contributions may be made to Clio Cemetery in memory of Denny.
