Eldon Frank DePew, 84, of Shell Knob.

Eldon Frank DePew, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, at his home in Shell Knob, Missouri, at the age of 84.

He was born in Granite City, Illinois on September 7, 1939 to Eldon J. and Frances (Secor) DePew. On December 20, 1958 in Madison, Illinois, he married the love of his life, Paula Cory, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Eldon DePew and his wife Jennifer of Shell Knob, Missouri, Tammie Gracey and her husband Tom of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Dannia Stephens and her husband Bob of Maryville, Illinois and Sherrie Linhart and her husband Pat of Gillespie, Illinois; six grandchildren, Tawny Gracey, Taryn (Gracey) Pilcic and her husband Kenny, Cory Stephens and his wife Aubree, Samantha Stephens, Allison (DePew) Gustavus and her husband Gage, Hunter DePew and his fiancée Lexi Smith; six great grandchildren, Reed Thomas Pilcic, Brynlee Stephens, Bowen Stephens, Charlotte Gustavus, Cameron Gustavus and Hudson DePew.

Preceding him in death were his parents and half-brother.

Eldon graduated from Granite City High School in Granite City, Illinois. His professional life was as a dedicated lineman for the Illinois Power Company, a role he held from 1973 to 1995. Eldon was an active member of the Grace Community Fellowship in Shell Knob, Missouri. His faith was an essential part of his life, and he lived it out through acts of kindness and service to others. A man of many interests, Eldon found joy in hunting, fishing, boating, gardening and loved spending time with his family. Eldon's memory will be held dear by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Grace Community Fellowship in Shell Knob. Pastor Joe Evans will be conducting the services. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.
