Enrique Cardenas...

Enrique Cardenas, just shy of his 81st birthday, passed away September 4, 2024, with family by his side. He entered this life on September 10, 1943, the son of Enrique Cardenas Sr. and Leonor Leza de Cardenas in Torréon, Coahuila, Mexico.

Moving to the United States as a teenager, he called Chicago, Illinois, home for twenty plus years, working in the field of construction and investing in real estate.

Enrique eventually found his way to Branson, Missouri, where he began a successful business which brought him thirty years into the future. He loved a good challenge and so the auto repair business was a great fit for him.

In his off time, Enrique enjoyed traveling, shopping, watching action movies, sketching, and cooking. In his later years, he even took a liking to breadmaking.

With a generous heart, Enrique was always there for anyone in need and loved giving gifts to his loved ones. He was a hardworking and energetic man with a good sense of humor. Enrique was a wonderful husband, father, and papa. The moments and memories created throughout his life will be cherished by all who knew him.

Enrique is survived by his life partner and companion, Melissa Cardenas of Branson, Missouri; children: Enrique Jr. (Yesenia) Cardenas of Seattle, Washington, Guadalupe “Lupita” Cardenas of Springfield, Missouri, Danielle (Kelly) Vesely of Spokane, Missouri, Erik (Melissa) Cardenas of Branson, Missouri, Cyara (Blake) Cardenas-Vandevender of Forsyth, Missouri, and Jonathan Cardenas of Branson, Missouri; grandchildren: Amely, Gabriel, Marjory, Derik, Zachary, Estavez, Venezia, Isabella, Jeff, Lily, Lydia, Castiel, Odin, and Abram; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Silvia Robles, Rosalba Gonzales, and Jesus Cardenas, all from Mexico, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Heriberto and Richard; and first wife, Guadalupe.
